Sidekick 3 wont turn on please help?

I just recently purchased my sidekick 3 on ebay, it is new and has never been used but it is refurbished. it has been charging for 16 hours and the orange light finnally went off, im not sure if it actually charged the battery or not because i've heard of sidekicks with bad charger ports where the light comes on and it never charges. im not sure if i should put money into buying a charger cradle for the battery or sending it back because it wont turn on. i have even tried plugging it in to the charger and taking out the battery to turn it on, and nothing happened. Please Help

I suggest taking it to a T-mobile store first.You won't have too buy a new battery if it doesn't work in the phone.Just ask to have a new battery placed in your phone to see if a new one will work. If it does then go ahead & buy a new battery. If it does not work then you know it it the phone itself.
