Total Call Prepaid Cell Phones

Cell phone cheaper through Qwest or prepaid cell phone cheaper....?

Hi All,
Quick Question. We have the Qwest bundle package, and have two cell phones included in it. We are paying a total $55.00 for both phones together a month for 500 minutes per month shared. When we call each other its free, and when we call our house its free. We have a lan line due to dsl internet.
I am wondering if it would be cheaper to cancel a phone early ($150) a month, and purchase one of those prepaid cell phones?
How much do they cost to activate? How long do the minutes last on them etc? Thanks!

They also have a plan called Easy Minutes where they send minutes to your phone each month so you never run out.....and no contracts!

$15 a month for 150 minutes.
$25 a month for 250 minutes...and so on.....
