Do I need to remove an internal mini-PCI card before installing a new PCMCIA wireless card into a laptop?

It is a Presario 2585us laptop and has a mini-PCI wireless adapter card already. I want to try a new PCMCIA wireless card to see it it works better. Do I need to physically remove the internal card or not? Since both cards will be for the same purpose, I was wondering if there could be conflicts?

you dont have too .. you can disable it in windows or if your laptop has the wifi on off button you can turn it off there.
